Here's my latest catch up. I could just not bother at all since I'm not very enthusiatic about it but something inside me won't let me give up.

First off I screamed so loud when Jack and Sawyer hugged! Even just the handshake woudl have been enough but to have them actually hug? Loved it. And just the fact that Sawyer was the first one to spot him. It was really good how Sawyer didn't hesitate to get the aspirin for Claire as well, he's being the good guy for real at last. I even loved kate and Sawyer's hug cause Josh was heartbreaky again. I was so glad that they all discussed what to do about Juliet together, that's what they need to be doing even if Jack chooses to do what he wants to anyway. I actually found that I believed Juliet about Claire but I still didn't trust her. Sawyer and Sayid teaming up was genius even though she made them back down, let's just hope that they pick that up again. So why is she still working for Ben? Is he still promising to get her off the island? Shouldn't she know by now that he can't do that anymore? I really hate her but not a Kate level. That is I don't want Juliet to die cause she's too interesting but Kate can die dead anytime.

Not as good as previous Desmond episodes though it did progress the future-flashes story so that's good. I loved all the 'going camping' type scenes especially Jin telling ghost stories and the whistling. I was so mad at Desmond for even thinking about letting Charlie die but then he saved him anyway so I'll leave it to Charlie to be mad at him instead. I don't think I ever thought that the parachutist would be Penny cause that would be too easy but I see where Desmond was coming from. And about Penny, I loved that Dom said my name! Even though I heard him say it to me and sing Penny Crayon, it was good to hear anyway.

The table tennis! Absolutely perfect! Sawyer and jack just getting along with no ulterior motives, it's about time! Kate did exactly what I expected her too in using Sawyer but I can't believe that he's going to let her do it. I know he loves her but can he just carry on like this knowing that she doesn't love him and most likely never will? So I want her to die even more now. Why did Sawyer have to explain ot jack where they got the table from though?

I'm so glad that the baby is Jin's. And I remain optimistic that Sun will not die. Very pleased to hera about the 5 times higher than normal sperm counts knowing that Kate and Sawyer have most likely had unprotected sex twice now so there is a chance that she's going to be taking up residence on Boone hill. What sample did Juliet take from Sun? She wouldn't have taken blood cause Sun would have asked what for and what could she have doen with it? Did Sun follow her back into The Staff? She really should have given that Juliet's excuse was so lame.

What was with Mikhail? Why hasn't he joined his buddys? All I can think is that he doesn't know where they are or that he was expecting the flare because it has something to do with entering 77 and he was expecting it? Charlie was yelling all the right things for once this week but I suppose Desmond was right to let Mikhail go.

I am so crappy crap crap at this keeping up with lj thing. Here I am having set up this account nearly a year ago and I've managed to get 2 and a half friends because I'm mostly still lurking! I have posted some fic though which is huge for me. It's really bugging me cause I genuinely want to be good at this and make friends here. On that note though I'm going to have to stop now cause Ugly Betty is about to start and I have to pee and I'm going to the zoo tomorrow (yay!) and have stuff to sort out for that. I've been really busy lately but that will be over soon and all the shows will be gone for summer in a month so maybe then I'll be better.

The Ones with the Goth Chick, the Magic Box, the Spiders and the Chick Fight

I am so behind cause I have this new job and it means that I have very little time in the evenings to get stuff done and even if I do have time I'm too tired. So these little catch-ups will be brief and most of my thoughts will be left out because I can't remember them anymore but I'm determined to write about each and every episode so here it is.

I liked Claire's idea about the birds, it won't work cause of the wackyness of the island but it was good. Had to yell at Charlie again to just tell Claire, you think he's learned to be honest with her yet? I pretty much knew for certain that Christian was going to turn out to be her dad but hearing him say it made me so happy. And he was actually sort of decent throughout which was nice. I really wish she had asked what his name was though. It was good that Claire sort of stood up to him where Jack might not have been able to.

I didn't see it coming til right before it did which I'm so glad of cause it was a nice surprise and I'm pretty sure I screamed whil watching in my brother's flat with all his friends in the next room! The magic box stuff was kinda confusing and I think I need to watch the episode again to really appreciate it. It was interesting to see the guy who recruited Juliet on the island. So glad that someone finally said something to Alex about Danielle even if it wasn't much. Daddy Cooper being on the island brings up so many questions and I can't wait to get some answers to them, does this mean that Nathan Fillion could be there and become a regular?

A pretty good episode I thought. I liked Nikki and Paulo before this and really wanted to like them after it but they're not such nice people so it's kind of hard but I think I still do. I'm kinda pissed at Paulo though cause if he'd climbed into the beachcraft Boone may not have died and if he'd said something instead of keeping the diamonds secret he could have stopped Michael from killing Ana and Libby and Jack, Kate and Sawyer from getting taken. The ending was infuriatingly unclear and I can't believe that that is it for them. If Damon and Carlton have given in to everything bad that people have been saying about them by getting rid of them for good then I'm actually disapointed in them for the first time.

Just another blah Kate episode except for finding out that Cassidy really did have a baby and she wasn't just conning Sawyer. It seemed like she wasn't going to give him up at the end though but clearly she did so what changed her mind? Not happy with Kate for crying when she found Jack, it seemed like she was looking for sympathy when he's the one who's hurting. That could just be me trying to find any way possible to hate Kate somemore though. Good to see the monster back even if we didn't find out anything useful. I am so in love with Hurley even more than after Tricia Tanaka! He was so smart in getting Sawyer to be the nice guy that we all know he can be and I think Sawyer finally realised that he has to be that guy and maybe that he even likes it. And it does make sense for him to sort of officially be the leader cause he's the best option currently. Shame it's not going to last for long. Maybe when Jack and everyone gets back they can start to form an actual government since so many of them have had their shot at being leader now?

I guess that's it except to say that next week should be interesting.

Gonna have to do this quickly cause Neighbours starts in a few minutes.

Not a bad eoisode but it's got nothing on Flashes Before Your Eyes. The flashbacks actually seemed kind of pointless to me except to show us the cat and even that was a bit blah. And we got to see again that Sayid is really sorry that he tortured people, didn't we know that already?

I even thought that the island stuff wasn't that good until I started talking about it at work and realised how many questions it raised and possibly answered. I'm not very happy that Miss Klugh died cause she was pretty interesting, unless she's not actually dead? And does the explosion mean that Dharma are going to send in the troops?

The Sawyer story could have been a lot better, I was expecting something more like the poker game but it was not given enough attention. At least Sawyer can move on now from trying to get his stuff back all the time. And no nicknames for a week? Where's the fun in that!

Tricia Tanaka Is Dead

Excellent episode! So much fun except for the Kate bits except when she finally said something about Alex and to the right person. Though maybe she should have mentioned it to Alex as well?

Sawyer didn't put a single foot wrong and neither did Hurley. It was really great to see Hurley having fun and being so positive. I've always loved that he has never once let Sawyer name calling intimidate him. I did feel bad for Sawyer at the end when he was all alone but I'm still glad that him and Kate have fallen out. Though I do want him to join the rescue Jack team.

I'm sure I've got loads more to say about this ep but I honestly can't think of anything right now cause I really need to go to bed.

Pairing: Some Jack/Sawyer and Charlie/Claire but mostly it's all the surviving not Michael and Walt original characters except Kate cause I can't stand her.

“Woah, dude. Guess that answers my question about how serious Charlie was about getting everyone here,” Hurley gestured towards the door of the hotel restaurant, “he even got Sawyer to come down. Without Jack!”

Sawyer walked over to the table and glanced around at who was there. Claire was seated next to Hurley with Aaron in a carrier on the chair beside her. Jin was looking slightly nervous and Sun was rubbing her hand over her now huge stomach with a glowing smile. Locke and Sayid appeared to be deep in conversation about the cover article of the newspaper. Charlie was notably absent though. Sawyer took a seat opposite Hurley.

“Hey, where’s Jack? Don’t tell me he thought of a way to get out of this?” Hurley asked.

“If I’ve got to be here then he sure as hell has to be here too,” Sawyer replied. “He was taking ages in the shower and I got bored so I came down without him, “ he explained. “Anybody know what in the hell we’re all doin’ here when the wannabe Gallagher hasn’t even shown up?”

“I’m sorry Sawyer,” Claire said, “Charlie refused to tell me what this is all about he just kept going on about how I had to be here or I’d regret it for the rest of my life.”

“He told me that too, “ Hurley offered, “a lot.”

“I was beginning to think it might be the name of his big comeback song” said Jack as he sat down next to Sawyer. “How’s my nephew?” he said to Claire.

“He’s fine”

“Dude, that was way stealthy! Where’d you come from?”

“What is stealthy?” Jin’s English had gotten good enough that he no longer needed Sun to translate most of the time but he still ran into trouble with some of the words Hurley used.

“Jumbo means that Jack here came outta nowhere, he snuck up on us all,” Sawyer explained “I got no idea how but he got real good at that a while back.”

“Very useful Others training that the rest of you missed out on.”

“Of course, the great solo escape from wackyville.”

“It seems Charlie does not possess the same skills,” Sayid put the paper down and indicated in the direction of the kitchen that Charlie had come stumbling out of pushing a trolley with two covered plates on the top.

Charlie then headed straight towards them apologising to people as he went for knocking into their tables despite having plenty of space to manoeuvre around them. He positioned the trolley at the end of the long table and stood behind it looking at them with a huge grin on his face but it fell when he noticed their mixture of puzzled, confused and annoyed expressions.

“What’s up guys?” he asked completely incredulously.

“What’s up? What do you mean what’s up? You got us all down here with all your hollerin’ about ‘the most amazin’ thing ever, you have to come’ and of course your favourite ‘if you miss it you’ll regret it for the rest of your life’ and you’re asking us what’s up?” Sawyer seemed closer to getting up, punching Charlie and walking out with each word. “We all got better things we could be doing.”

“You don’t believe me? You don’t trust me?”

Everyone was silent and looked away from Charlie’s accusing face.

“It’s not that we don’t trust you Charlie,” Jack said, “but it is a little hard to believe you.”

“When have I ever lied to you?”

“How ‘bout the time you insisted that we just had to trek a mile into the jungle to see a bush that you said looked exactly like a guitar but actually looked more like a plain old bush?” Sawyer suggested.

“Or when we all came running because you were shouting about Aaron and all he’d done was make a new baby sound.” Jack crossed his arms across his chest and frowned at Charlie.

“And when you insisted that you had discovered a new species of beetle but it was merely a malformed leaf.” Sayid offered.

“Don’t forget when you and Hurley lead Jin on a hunt for a bird because you were both convinced that it had said Hurley’s name,” Sun said and got an agreeing nod from Jin.

“Hey! Don’t bring me into this!” Hurley exclaimed then added under his breath, “that bird did say my name.”

“And then it crapped gold,” Sawyer said, “we went over this remember?”

“Whatever dude.”

“Ok, I see the point you’re making. All valid examples of me, and Hurley, wasting your time. But this is different, ok?” Charlie looked pleadingly at them, “just try it. Besides, I thought it might be nice if we all hung out once more before people start to leave and go back to their lives. We might not see each other again after today.”

No one argued with that and they all started to look less like they were going to leave at any second.

“Charlie is right, we should trust him,” Locke spoke for the first time, “there was a time that I didn’t and I at least have to make up for that.” He smiled up at Charlie.

“Thank you John. Appreciated.”

“All right then, we trust you. Are you going to show us what’s on those plates now?” Sawyer said.

“Ok.” Charlie lifted the cover from one of the plates to reveal a pie with what looked like a severely crumbling base and sides and a thick, uneven, grey-brown coloured filling. They all looked at it with a new mixture of expressions but the overall look was one of disgust.

“That’s what we’re here for?” Jack voiced what they were all thinking, “dessert?”

“Not just any dessert, this is Banoffee Pie,” Charlie said proudly.

A look of realisation crossed Claire’s face, “that’s what you meant when you said ‘here’s yours’ when you gave me that peanut butter the other day.” She had started to smile again.

“That’s right.”

They all looked on as Charlie studied the pie and then cut it into nine nearly equal pieces and put them on smaller plates. He then lifted the cover off the other plate and turned to Claire, “cream or ice cream?”

“Ice cream.”

Charlie very messily got Claire a scoop of the ice cream and dumped it down on top of one of the pieces of pie and then passed it to her. She took it gladly and he turned to Hurley and asked the same question.

Charlie continued to dish out the portions though not everyone took them as happily as Claire had and no one started eating yet. When Sawyer got his plate he sniffed it and pulled a face, “it smells like island feet.”

“It does not!” Charlie defended the sad looking dessert, “you just don’t want to like it.”

“What the hell is in it anyway?” Sawyer asked while still sneering at the contents of his plate.

“That is a question I would very much like to know the answer to.” Sayid backed Sawyer up.

“It’s nothing fancy. Just a biscuit base, chopped bananas and toffee.”

“That’s like no toffee I ever saw man.” Even Hurley was looking at it sceptically.

“It’s a soft toffee, made with condensed milk. It’s just like my mum used to make it. And I made it all myself!”

“I thought you wanted us to eat it? Don’t go telling us that if you do.” Jack joked but only Charlie found it amusing.

Charlie sat down with his own piece and wasted no time in eating a spoonful and was about to eat a second but then he looked up and around at their faces and saw that they were all staring at him. He looked back at them expectantly, “well? What are you all waiting for?”

Charlie tucked back into his as Claire tried to hide her own nervousness and then ate a mouthful. Everyone watched her closely as she chewed it around in her mouth. At first no one could tell whether she liked it and Sawyer and Jin both pushed their plates away from themselves then Claire’s face broke into a beaming smile and they all breathed a sigh of relief.

“It’s amazing!” Claire exclaimed.

“That’s what I said!” Charlie mumbled around his own mouthful, “you never should have doubted me.”

Jack, Locke and Jin were next to try it. Locke and Jin continued to eat eagerly after their first bites while Jack frowned and took much smaller pieces after the first as he tried to decide if he liked it. Hurley, Sun and Sayid all followed suit and Hurley and Sayid ate happily but Sun also seemed unsure until she suddenly got up with great difficulty and ran towards the toilets. Everyone paused as they worried that they had made a huge mistake, even Charlie, and Sawyer gave them an ‘I told you so’ grin.

Jin turned towards Charlie, “it is not…personal. Sun can not eat all foods because of the baby.” With that Jin went back to his eating.

Everyone carried on eating until all except Sawyer and Sun’s plates were empty then they turned to look at Sawyer.

“Come on Sawyer, I think you’ll like it,” Jack said.

“Why would you think that?”

“Because I know you’ve got a sweet tooth,” he said teasingly. “Try it at least.”

The sneer didn’t leave Sawyer’s face as he slowly broke a piece off with his spoon and brought it up to his mouth. Everyone was staring at him as he put it in his mouth, chewed and eventually swallowed.

“Well,” Charlie asked, “what do you think?”

Sawyer took a moment before answering, “is anyone having that piece?” he nodded his head at Sun’s barley touched plate. Everyone laughed and Jin passed the plate over to Sawyer who had already eaten half of his.

Sun came back to the table looking better than she had though she pulled a disgusted face when she saw what was left of the pie. Jin stood to help her and she sat back down.

“You don’t want yours, right?” Sawyer asked.

“No.” She turned to Charlie, “thank you Charlie, maybe I can try it again after the baby has been born?”

“Absolutely, I’ll give you the recipe.”

They each started to talk amongst themselves and Jack stared at Sawyer bewilderedly as he disregarded the fact that they were in a restaurant and began to lick his plate clean.

“What?” Sawyer caught Jack’s look and questioned it.

“This is a nice place Sawyer,” he pointed out, “we’re not on the island anymore remember?”

“I remember perfectly well, I just don’t care. This is damn good pie and I’m not going to waste any of it.”

“It’s not that good.”

“Hey!” Charlie interrupted.

“Sorry Charlie, it was ok I’m just not going crazy over it like some people.”

“I got an idea Doc. How about we take this last piece back up to our room and I’ll see what I can do to change you mind about that?”

Everyone heard that and paused their conversations to stare at Sawyer once again.

“Dude, we so did not want to hear that.”

“And with nearly two children present!” Charlie added, “you should be ashamed of yourself.”

Sawyer just grinned his huge grin and ignored them and waited for Jack’s reaction. Jack slowly began to form his own grin and picked up the plate himself and stood up.

“We’ll be back later. Will you all still be here?” Jack said and got a mix of yes’s and nods in response. “Good, we wouldn’t want to miss any goodbyes.” With that he turned to leave the restaurant and Sawyer quickly got up and followed him.

Charlie watched them go and looked around at his friend’s smiling faces and smiled proudly himself.

Stranger In A Strange Land

First a note about how extreme illness delayed my viewing of this ep.

My dad was ill on Monday and Tuesday, by Thursday my mum and I figured we had escaped, how wrong we were. I got home from work and happily downloaded and had my tea though my mum didn't cause she felt bad. Then I started to feel kind of funky but I thought it was just because I was worried that I might get ill. I carried on, had a shower, did my nails. Then it got real. Hung over the toilet but failed to actually be sick, quickly dried my hair then back to the toilet. Got in bed to listen to last week's podcast. Spent 5 minutes shivering my ass off then proceeded to nearly fall asleep before having to go back to the toilet again, this cycle repeated itself before the podcast was over. I then fell asleep for a while with my computer still on at the end of my bed and fairy lights on around the top. I had to get up every half hour through the night and take Friday off work which was crap since I've only been there for 3 weeks. I watched the episode on Friday night having managed to get out of bed at 3pm only to crash in the living room instead and only eat a slice of pizza. Then mum got it for real yesterday.

Crap time.

And now on to the good stuff.

I'm tending to agree that the Thailand stuff could have been darker though at the time I did like how happy Jack seemed cause we don't often get to see that. I don't get the whole 'gift' thing and why that would make her brother and his buddies beat Jack up but then I don't think it made much sense to anyone. Maybe it will be explained later or in the podcast? And how can Jack's tattoos say something different than what Foxy's say? And why would they be in Chinese instead of Thai?

Isobel succeeded in pissing me off and creeping me out. Tom didn't get to be lovely which was a bummer. I'm down with them killing Juliet, then we could ahve avoided more forcing of the so not there Jack/Jluiet thing later and she just wouldn't be there anymore.

Questions about the Others. Why send your only surgeon on the dangerous mission? Both him and Goodwin ended up dead so maybe don't be mad at our guys for killing them be mad at yourselves for sending important people out in the first place. Is there any particular reason why the survivors shouldn't hate you considering what you have put them all through? How come only some people get to have a 'better life'?

Did it seem like Cindy and the kids are prisoners? I love that Ana was mentioned cause I really miss her but.

Sawyer's scene with Karl was lovely, he is so a softie. Though maybe he should have tried to get more answers from Karl before telling him to leave? And the punch on the arm, so macho!

I think that's about it. I'm worried that Jack might not be around for a while and does he really want to go home home as in civilisation and just leave everyone else behind?

Flashes Before Your Eyes

I loved this episode completely. Easily the best of this season so far. It was great to get back to some good Hurley/Charlie stuff for a while and then Desmond and whiskey too? Awesome!

I liked that Locke wanted to speak to Charlie and Hurley because people come to them with questions, guess that means that Hurley is in the loop. And where have Nikki and Paulo gone? They went on the Pearl/Eko slaughter trek so why weren't they there still?

The long flashback was a really good idea cause it didn't break our flow through the story. The whole thing was kind of creepy with wierd paintings and freaky ring lady and London actually looking like London. I was really very upset that Desmond had to break up with Penny and that he then thought that he could change everything and that was when he got pulled back to the future. Charlie's bit was good, brilliant comment about not doing drugs and that they were on an island. And having him sing Wonderwall, a perfect song for Charlie and the lyrics fit with the end of the episode well. As for that, I honestly didn't see that coming, I was all worried about Claire (btw, fringe? I know they have scissors but am I the only one thinks it looks kind of crappy, sorry Emilie) and now I have to worry about Charlie instead. Scenes like that make me realise how a really feel about the characters, I still love Charlie!

Not In Portland

I am going to get better at posting my reviews up and at lj in general! That is not a horrible lie, I'm already making an effort and doing loads better. With that in mind, I have some catching up to do.

Now's the part where I have to remember what I wanted to say about this ep huh? Ok, I'll try.

I clearly remember that I was amazed at how truly pathetic Juliet was before the island, she at least has a damn sturdy backbone now so maybe that's a redeeming feature and I could start to like her. Not yet though. I loved seeing Ethan again cause that's always good and it looks like he'll be showing up again before the end of the season if she gets another ep. And she gets points for killing Pickett too cause he was just getting way too annoying.

Very impressed with how Jack played the situation. Alex for once didn't make me really angry cause she actually sort of said worthwhile things. Sawyer got a very nice Star Wars reference in which made me happy not so much because of Star Wars but because it's so Sawyer.

Then the rest is about how much I love Tom! He was so gorram sweet. Despite how he looks and how he's presented himself I think it's been obvious since he offered Kate the antiseptic that he's a lovely guy underneath it all.

Fic: Sleeping Beauty

This fic is multi-prompt fulfilling. Firstly you may notice that I've got Fairy Tales in there. Then there's the kissing. And lastly it's something I have never done before, that is I have never posted a fic before, actually I've never even finished a fic before. This a big thing for me cause as I have told some of you I am not a writer! I'm all scientifically minded and not at all creative.

Disclaimer: Not my characters, I've just abused them a bit.

Once upon a time Sawyer would have left Jack behind. He would have run far away and only saved himself; he wouldn’t even have bothered with rescuing the damsel in distress. But things had changed, he had changed. Now he found himself continually plagued by a conscience that talked to him like an annoying little fairy from some kid’s book. He had to stop reading so much.

When it came down to it he had refused to run. He had taken the radio right out of Kate’s hand and yelled at Jack that he would not leave without him. At first Jack’s shock at this mirrored his own, he figured that it must just be because Jack had saved him so many times or that he couldn’t leave anyone there to God knows what fate. In that moment though it didn’t matter why so he beat Pickett down and took his gun then ordered Them to take him to Jack.

That woman was there. The one who he knew was willing to do anything to get what she wanted. She said that they would get a boat if Jack just finished the operation on Ben or Henry or whatever name he was going by at the time. Sawyer knew that he shouldn’t trust her but he saw no other way and besides, They were all so scared of Ben dying that they had given everything up to him, Jack and Kate. So Jack did as he was told.

Sawyer knew he should have been watching her more closely but movement on his other side had caught his attention and when he looked back she had a needle in Jack’s neck and an empty syringe in her hand. And she was smiling. She pulled the needle out and Jack immediately began to fall, both Sawyer and Kate ran to catch him and Sawyer got there first so he yelled at Kate to keep her gun on Them.

The woman went to work stitching Ben up and told the rest of them to give Sawyer and Kate the boat. So they escaped. They sailed around the main island until they reached their own camp. Sayid and Locke were first in the water and helped them get Jack back to his tent. He was still out cold but Sun kept watch over him and she said that he would probably wake up soon.

Sawyer went back to his own tent and lay down figuring that he could sleep for a week but his body would not let him. He stared up at the tarp above him and out at the ocean for a few hours until darkness fell and the noise of camp subsided. When he was sure that everyone was in bed for the night he crept out into the darkness and stumbled through the sand on aching legs to Jack’s tent.

Sun had left and Jack was still asleep. Sawyer stepped inside and pulled the tarp down behind him. He sat down beside Jack and watched him for a while. He looked so helpless compared to when they had been taken almost like he had finally given up. His cheek bones were more defined and the faint shape of ribs could be seen through his shirt but despite that it looked like he had been living off more than fish biscuits, or maybe he simply had not spent hours hauling rocks. The main thing that struck Sawyer was how tired Jack looked. He had been tired after Boone died sure, but this was something else, something more. Had he slept at all in the last week?

Sawyer lay down next to Jack and the next thing he knew sunlight was pouring into the tent as Kate opened it up and kneeled down to look over Jack.

“Sorry to wake you, I thought the light might help bring Jack around. Sun said that he hasn’t moved since last night.”

“That’s alright Freckles, not much use if I don’t wake up either is it?”

Kate ignored the question and looked down at her hands where she was tracing patterns in the sand. “Sun doesn’t know what did this to him. She says that it looks like he’s in a coma.”

Silence fell between them as they both thought over what it would be like to live on the island without Jack. Sawyer could no longer imagine life at all without him around.

“You should go get some breakfast, I’ll watch him.” Kate brought Sawyer back from his reverie and he just stared at her for a few seconds before what she had said registered.

“I guess I should. Be nice to have somethin’ other than fish biscuits. I’ll get Jack some too, in case he wakes up.” Sawyer tried unsuccessfully to sound hopeful.

“Good idea.”

For the rest of the day Sawyer and Kate both kept a close watch on Jack but Kate went back to her own tent at night while Sawyer stayed with Jack. After a few hours he left to get some more water and found a Dharma flashlight in the sand nearby. It gave him an idea so he went back to his own tent and started rummaging through his stash quietly. He wondered briefly when he had started to care whether he woke anyone up but quickly forgot the thought when he found what he was looking for. He was down to his last few unread books so that all he was left with was a collection of children’s fairy tales.

Sawyer went back and reclaimed his seat on the sand next to Jack’s unmoving body. “Thought I might read you somethin’ Doc,” he said as he set the book down on his crossed legs. “It’s gonna have to be these damned fairy tales though cause I musta read everything else on this island. What do you wanna start with? We got Rumplestiltskin, that’s about a funny little guy with one weird-ass name. Then there’s Rapunzel but I’m gonna vito that cause of how the witch used to scare the shit outta when I was a kid. How ‘bout Sleeping Beauty? Seems kinda appropriate, don’t cha think?

Sawyer read the whole story taking small pauses every now and then to look at Jack each time hoping that he would have woken up. Jack remained still though so Sawyer sighed, bowed his head and moved the book to one side. Then he raised his head back up to scowl at Jack.

“Dammit Jack you gotta wake up! I can’t take this anymore! You need to eat and drink and I need some company 'cause I am telling you I can’t read all these stupid stories!”

“I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out why the hell I insisted that we couldn’t leave without you. All it did was get you into worse trouble. And it probably wasn’t about saving you, it was about saving myself, who’s gonna fix me up the next time someone shoots or stabs me? Bet that’s what it was, me looking after me, that’s what I do right?” Even as he said the words Sawyer knew that they weren’t true and that he had known all along why he didn’t run.

“I had to bring you back but I did it all wrong. I should have come back first and rounded up the troops. Now it’s not going to make a difference, you’re going to die anyway.” Sawyer’s voice had dropped down to a whisper; he didn’t want anyone to know that he had lost hope.

“I’m sorry Jack.” Sawyer was leaning over him now and speaking into his ear. “I know why I tried to save you; it was because I was too afraid of loosing you. This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever done but anything’s worth a shot 'cause I need you to wake up.” He moved so that he was looking at Jack’s closed eyelids and brushed his cheek with his lips as he did so. Slowly Sawyer pressed his lips lightly against Jack’s. He lingered there for longer than he knew he should but he couldn’t help himself.

Sawyer pulled away and turned to sit facing away from Jack. A small, single tear fell down his cheek and he wiped it away with his sleeve. When he moved his hand back down to the sand he felt something that wasn’t there before, something warm.

“That’s the sweetest thing I ever heard,” said an impossibly quiet voice from behind him. Sawyer quickly spun around and found Jack staring up at him.

“Water.” Jack managed to choke the word out before coughing weakly. Sawyer grabbed a bottle and slowly poured some into Jack’s mouth.

Sawyer opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. All he had wanted was for Jack to wake up and now he had his brain seemed to have lost track of the English language so he just stared at him instead.

Jack saved him from worrying about this by speaking himself much more clearly than he had before, “you don’t have to speak, and I’ve heard every word this whole time. I felt completely awake but I just couldn’t open eyes or move or do anything.” Sawyer just continued to stare at Jack like he couldn’t believe he was there even though he hadn’t looked at much else since they got back.

“I’m glad you came for me Sawyer, even if I had never woken up I still would have been. Thank you. And it was you who woke me up too.”

“You heard every word?” Sawyer found his own voice at last.

“Yes.” Jack tried to laugh but it turned to a cough and he reached for the water again.

“Did you feel everything too?”

Jack looked Sawyer right in the eyes but the question didn’t seem to have shaken him at all. “Yes. You kissed me.”

“Uh, yeah. Sorry ‘bout that.”

“Guess that makes me Sleeping Beauty huh?”

“That’s what made me do it. Sorry.”

“Don’t be.” A smile started to form on Jack’s face as he said this that made Sawyer lean down and kiss Jack again and this time he felt Jack kiss him back.

He pulled away from Jack and looked down into his eyes and suddenly everything made sense. Why he had insisted that they go back for Jack, why he couldn’t sleep in his own tent, everything was clear to him now.

Jack smiled up at him and put his arms around him bringing Sawyer’s ear down to his mouth and he whispered, “Does this mean we’re going to live happily ever after?”

It's been a while

I know I've been mostly absent for freakin' ages but there is a good reason! Firstly, when did Christmas become a crazy time when I have no chance to catch my breath? I figure it most have been right around the time that I stopped having lots of time off in order to get things done. The after Christmas I was just plain scared by how much catching up I had to do. Then I had job interviews and then I got a job so I now work full time so when I am able to go on the net I mostly just want to sleep.

It's good about the job though right? I've been there for 2 weeks now and it's going really well. It's so good to be back in a lab again, away from the stupid stupid public and assholey managers. I now analyse insulating oil from electrical equipment. Sounds fancy yes? It freaked out a lot of people at Woolies that's for sure! It's a proper career-like job which both terrifies and excites me. And it's proper wages! That means that once I've paid off my credit card and overdraft I will start saving for a trip to Hawaii!

In other big news, I finished and posted my first ever fic for Lost Riffs over at Lostsquee. Also both terrifying and exciting. I got some positive comments though so I may have another go, see if I can feel any better about my writing.

I'll talk about the new eps after this week's I think, or maybe tomorrow. All I'll say about them now is that I love love love Tom even more!

Also very excited about the pics of the next series of Lost figures, can't wait for Sawyer to join Jack on my shelf. In fact, I've been trying to work out how I'm going to fit them all on the bookcase that I bought for that very purpose (how sad am I?) even though they don't come out til July. And I haven't got my Locke yet cause his voice box was broken and my stupid friend hasn't sent him back yet. In case anyone cares I also have decent Buffy/Angel and LOTR figure collections. And a Captain Tight Pants. And an 18" talking Jack Sparrow!

Let's just talk about the awesmoeness of the men of Lost shall we?

NATHAN FILLION

I honestly could end right there cause those two words sum up the episode. Who knew I could love a Kate ep so much? It wasn't my favourite so far, that's a toss up between A Tale of Two Cities and Every Man for Himself. And they made Nathan a cop! It's been done before but it's still genius, Captain Tight Pants! Nowe about the story. Kate leaving like that just made me mad at her which is kind of crazy cause we knew she would do it, she had to run, I just didn't like the way she treated Nathan. I loved the call to the marshall, the fact that she calls him by his first name, I really want to see more of their history. And he was in Firefly one time!

I couldn't really understand why Jack was so pissed off about Them getting Kate to ask him to do the surgery, he should have expected that from Them surely? I loved when he was messing with Ben about not doing it, Jack has a sense of humour! It seems like until Jack found out about Sawyer and Kate him and Sawyer could have actually started to properly get along since they are on the same page about The Others. I sat there for a few minutes after watching the ep thinking about it and then it suddenly dawned on me that Jack was being Jack perfectly. He had figured out a way to save Kate and Sawyer despite his upset about them that meant that he didn't have to kill anyone. I knew he wouldn't kill Ben! Sad that he doesn't realise that they might not be able to get far though.

As much as I hate the idea of anyone other than Jack and Sawyer with Sawyer and Jack I did actually like the Sawyer/Kate thing cause of how he was. He really does seem like he loves her and was so happy that he had her and if he's happy, I'm happy. Now she'd better not break him cause I'll break her! You've gotta wonder though if she just did it because she was convinced that Sawyer was going to get killed.

Alex. WTF? That girl is just crazy annoying. Does anyone feel like they know more about what The Others are up to after these eps?

Picket? WTF? Why in the hell do you want to kill Sawyer as revenge for Colleen? He didn't shoot her! In fact in most of his involvement with The Others he has been the one getting shot, and drugged, and zapped, and hit. A lot. Why doesn't he kill Kate instead? Wouldn't that be more satisfying?

Tom! Increased Tom content compared to most of the season so far. Very good. Bummer that he seems to be on ben's side though.

That's it except for one more thing......NATHAN FILLION!!!!

Ethan is gonna be back again!

This review is late cause to be honest I was incredibly unimpressed by the episode. Don't get me wrong, it was still an amazing hour of television compared to a lot of the crap that is about these days (especially in the UK, I mean unanimous? what's up with that?). It just confused me and was pretty disappointing.

Why did they kill Eko? He was an excellent character and they killed him off so lamely. The 'monster' killed him cause he's not sorry about killing people? WTF? He was always sorry until then anyway and was trying to be a good man and everything, it just didn't make sense. Maybe he was still in that crazy-mind place? Also bummer that Yemi isn't going to be around anymore cause I really liked him too. It was nice to know why Eko was building the church and I guess it makes sense then why he stopped since it was Yemi who was telling him to push the button. So Bernard is now the sole surviving, non-abducted taily, I hope he properly appreciates the importance of that role.

Also, why was nothing made of Sayid, Jin and Sun's return? And why was Sayid so mean about Desmond being there? Nikki does not get credit for realising that they could tap into the other tv feeds cause that was crazily obvious, the rest of them just get poked for not figuring out when we all did. I still like Nikki and Paulo though.

I'm starting to get royally pissed off about Claire's non-presence. She's not my favourite character by a long stretch but I've always liked her and now she's barely there and when she is she may as well not be. Same goes for Hurley so far this season.

As for the Jack stuff. Lovely shirt-removal and pull-ups and kinda cocky "Good morning Ben". Slap for Ben for thinking that Jack could not want to fix someone and for Juliet for thinking that he would ever consider killing Ben during the surgery just because she says that he's dangerous. As if! jack could never knowingly kill someone and if They think They know all about him and then say that then They need to do Their research all over again.

Loving that Jack is playing with Ben in next weeks episode. I can't understand why he gets so mad about Them using kate and Sawyer to get him to do it though.

I feel compelled to post in defence of Damon and Carlton. I always listen to the podcasts and I absolutely love them. Those guys are so damn funny. Maybe I'm misreading them but everything that they've ever said that sounds negative about Lost or one of it's characters has always seemed completely sarcastic to me. I don't want to argue with anyone about this but just wanted to say that if you love Lost as much as you claim maybe you should show more gratitude and appreciation towards the people who make it. I have complete faith in Damon and Carlton, J.J however doesn't seem to give a crap anymore.

Job stress

So here's the deal. I have a chemistry degree which might make you go "what the hell were you thinking?" but I actually really love the subject. I'm not great at it though so don't expect me to design a wonder drug to cure cancer or anything. I just know that I love lab work. Since I graduated I have been working in a shop though just so that I have some money coming in while I look for something careery.

Well this week has been lots of not fun at work cause the kids are off school for the last time before Christmas and we had loads of new people start and the guy in charge of our department has been off as well as another girl so it's been chaos. And on top of that I keep getting sort-of told off by the cash office lady for doing returns and stuff. And I'm working seven days running.

On Monday I was in the last two for a lab job and found out last night that I didn't get it. It was only temporary and it was shift work but at least I would have had more money and experience and would have gotten out of the damn shop!

It's not that bad though, I do sort of like the work but it's only 20 hours a week which is the main problem. And I started to bond with one of the newbies today about Lost and Prison Break and tattoos. I'm just kind of bummed out cause I was really hoping to get that job and now it feels like I have to start over.

Desmond has freaky powers man and he's using them for good! He's gonna need a costume me thinks. Everyone seems to be bashing Paulo but I liked him. My problem there was just why is he wasting the golf balls by hitting them into the ocean? That's kinda selfish dude. Of course desmond plays golf, there's like a bazillion courses in Scotland. Liking how Hurley was being kind of wary of him cause why wouldn't he be? And did it look like Charlie was figuring out that Desmond has these powers? Props to Charlie for calling Desmond brother. Very pleased with Desmond's new outfit.

Kate was all kinds of annoying. Why can't she just leave Sawyer alone? And how come it was so damn easy for her to get out of that cage? They're all gonna be cursing Jack about the live together, die alone speech soon, it's getting them into all kinds of bad situations or, in this case, keeping them there.

Shirtless, boxing Sawyer. OH. MY. GOD. Thank you for that. And then The Others had the curtesy to at least open his shirt as well. the tied back hair also a very good thing. Maybe I'm just very naive but I really did believe that Sawyer has a kid. Clementine is kind of a problematic name though, she's gonna get bullied. Also I figured that Sawyer was working with the warden but that they were pulling off an illegal con-type thing rather than what they were actually doing. He read back then too? So why didn't he develop hyperabala(?) til the island?

The adrenaline shot was a bit much but it did at least make me think of the fast approaching Nathan Fillion appearance. Also thought of how happy Anya would be to see the bunny die. I guessed that the pacemaker thing wasn't real mostly cause I knew they were going to con him but also, isn't that major surgery? The whole two islands thing confused the crap out of me. The Other's nice village is on the main island right? But The Hydra is on the little one? So That explains the Pala Ferry except that I suppose the whole Michael-Walt boat thing did that too. Why do They want Sawyer?

I was screaming at Jack to tell Juliet that he could care less how she feels and then he did just that! I squeed at Jack when he heard Sawyer screaming, are They letting him hear that stuff on purpose? Did anyone else catch the bit about "we should never have brought those two here". What do you bet that Jack has superhearing so he did hear Sawyer and Kate? It seemed like he might have done. I loved that as soon as he saw what They wanted him to do he didn't hesitate to scrub in, that's so Jack. At the same time though I wish he hadn't, that he'd tried to bargain wiht them or something first. I don't get that Pickett wants to kill Sawyer cause of her dying, did he fail to notice that he was busy beating Sawyer up when she got shot. And I was pleased right with Sawyer that one of the 815 guys shot her and groaned at Kate for not thinking the same way. Again I say, if They want Jack to help them why didn't They ask nicely? Why do They think that all of this is necessary?

I've really gotta start doing this sooner after watching the episode, it's getting kinda fuzzy. Maybe that just means that I should watch it again? Oh well, I'll write what I can think of.

So, that dream/vision thing, that was actually pretty cool. I was expecting it to be kind of lame just having Boone appear like that but it really wasn't. he looked damn good (as many people have said) and I loved that he got to talk down to Locke.

I was screaming about Locke being a hypocritical bastard about the weed but at the same time maybe liking him better for it. And how hot was Eddie? Very hoping that that's not the last thing we see of him.

Disliking the lack of Jack and Sawyer obviously but seeing that it was necessary to focus on everyone else a bit. I regained a lot of my old love for Charlie but was kind of worried at how impressed he was with Locke's speech cause he doesn't seem to have gotten away from needing someone to follow and tell him what to do yet.

Loving that Desmond has crazy powers though it seems like something that has been thrown in from left field. It was like a Jedi moment!

Now what's with the promo pics that they released since the episode aired where Charlie and Claire are kissing and some flashback ones with the police all at the compound? Why release pictures of scenes that were cut or did I get a bad download?

First off, I was pretty devastated to find out that Sun did cheat on Jin cause I really believed her when she said she hadn't. Besides that little revelation the flashbacks were pretty dull but in a Lost way so they were still great.

I'm pretty much hating Pickett, spending all of his scenes with Sawyer yelling at him to leave poor Sawyer alone! I did like when he was giving Sawyer and Kate their orders though and Sawyer was still joking around. Alex is bugging me too, whose side is she on? Can't say I like Juliet very much cause she's really up to something with Jack and Sawyer, trying to get them to trust her. I was so glad that Sawyer poured that water away.

And then there's Ben. I am so pissed at him! He wants Jack to see things from his perspective but refuses to see things from Jack's perspective! Is it any wonder that Jack doesn't want to trust him? If he wants something from Jack in exchange for taking him home then why didn't he just ask nicely after the crash? Why all the secrecy and slealing of people? I really really don't want Jack to accept his offer cause how could he leave everyone else behind? They need him and what does he have to go back for anyway?

And Sayid's plan to kill all those Others and catch two? How incredibly dumbass! I know he's good but not that good, when have our survivors ever managed to outsmart The Others? Silly, silly Sayid.

A Tale of Two Cities

Here's my first attempt at a written down proper review type thing of a Lost episode.

First up the opening scene was spoiled for me cause I'd accidently come across the Henry is Ben information while I was downloading so that was kind of a bummer. Did it seem like Juliet is kind of a disgruntled minion like Alex? Damon and Carlton have said that there are factions within The Others so maybe. Loved seeing Ethan and Goodwin again even thought they were underused, we need more flashbacks of what The Others have been up to all this time.

Jack is incredibly stubborn but I think that's another reason why I love him so much. I was pretty angry at Juliet for asking him what he does and stuff since we knew full well that she already knew. I wish Jack had taken the water sooner though, makes me sad seeing him like that. What's with the promo pic that's out now of him on lying on the table and a little girl standing staring at him? Creepy much! Maybe she's one of the tailie kids, Emma was it?

As for that Karl guy, I knew Sawyer should not have run but I guess he had to try. I'm thinking the guy is a plant. Or I suppose he could be a tailie too.

Then there's Kate who I still hate with a firey passion especially that the first thing she yelled about after the where am I, where are Sawyer and Jack thing was that she wasn't showering in front of Tom! For God's sake get over yourself! That breakfast wasn't exactly nice considering the handcuffs, was it? And what happened to her afterwards to make her wrists so sore?

I yelled at Sarah a lot cause how could she ever ever ever leave him? What is wrong in her head? And I knew that Christian was not her new fella cause as crap as he may be to Jack I don't think he would ever do that and neither would Sarah.

Tom's gay! I love it!

Where are all the other people that The Others have taken?

NATHAN FILLION!!!!!! One of my favourite actors in my current favourite show! Perfect! Absolutley freaking perfect! Except that he's gonna be Kate's husband and God knows I hate Kate. Also, I've met him! I've met someone else from Lost! Yay!

I'm very excited cause I'm getting the first season of Party of Five tomorrow and I've never really seen it. I'm pretty much gettingit cause of the Foxy factor which I feel is a good enough reason. Means that the little thing on the case that says "starring Lost's Matthew Fox" has worked on me though! Oh well, doesn't matter if I enjoy it right? Plus, 20% discount at work this weekend so it's gonna be pretty damn cheap.

Less than perfect

So things are not so rosy right now. I'm completely broke again because I finally paid for my computer and got charged an early payment fee! And I owe money all over the place, and I'm paying too much tax, and I only work 20 hours a week! I have been applying for a proper job but I'm not really in a rush to find one.

I do have plans to go to a con in November to meet Julie Benz and hopefully someone else from Lost but no one has been announced yet. And I have an Apolo candy bar! And I'm amking sure my friends and family know that all I want for Christmas is the Lost calender and all the action figures! That brings me to the subject that is causing me the most distress though, my dvds have not come yet. they were posted 2 entire, whole weeks ago and they have not found their way to me. My Prison Break came 8 days after posting so I waited patiently for 8 days for Lost but they didn't come and the next day they didn't come and the next day they didn't come and they have comtinued to not come ever since. It makes me sad, very, very sad. I want to see the bloopers and The World According to Sawyer and everything else but I am being denied this. It isn't right of fair!

On the plus side though I did just hear that Ian Somerhalder has been back shooting in Hawaii! And after watching ? tonight I've been thinking about Boone again, I miss him.

Anyways, I should go to bed. Maybe my dvds will come tomorrow. Or not.

So today was pay day! And I finally got my deposit for my house at uni back the other day! These things mean that despite the fact that I have to pay for my lovely, wonderful computer soon I have finally ordered Prison Break and Lost! Do you know that they have very annoyingly split both shows in half for release over here and each half costs nearly as much as the entire seasons in the US?! And PlayUSA doesn't even chrage postage! I think people are getting sick of me going on about this. Apparently the record shops don't like this though so they are trying to find a way to stop it. There is always the risk of having to pay customs but that has never happened to me. In fact, the only time it's happened to anyone I know was when my parents bought me House for my birthday! Anyway, I digress.

My DVDs are coming!

I don't say this very often but it feels very neccessary right now, God bless Sean Harry! The Man is planning a freakin' Prison-freakin'-Break frakin' convention! God bless him! And it's not til May so I should be able to afford it and for the the first time in years I won't have to worry about working it around exams! And the first confirmed quest is Robert 'T-Bag' Knepper! I know T-Bag is not in any way, shape or form a nice guy but the guy has so much personality! I very quickly threw together an icon in his honour!

I laughed my fangirl-ass off listening to the new podcast today. I know it may not have been the funniest thing ever but as well as suffering from Lost hiatus withdrawal I have also been taken very ill with Lost-podcast hiatus withdrawal, otherwise known as Damon-Carlton deprivation! Those guys crack me up! I am here to say that I freaking love the ass's off of them and therefore have complete and utter unfaltering faith in them to continue to make the show as prefectly as they have thus far. And the whole comic-con thing was awesome cause it made me feel like I was at a con again. I love cons. I want to be at one now.

And, very important factor, someone asked if they had thought about Jawyer! They didn't answer cause they got sidetracked by other questions but still, major squee moment!
